Day 1: International Arrival – Lima

Welcome to Lima. Upon arrival you will be assisted at the Lima airport and then transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Lima

Lima City Tour: Historical Center, Santo Domingo Convent and Larco Museum (Half-day tour) You will visit the modern and colonial parts of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting at the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, and passing along a “huaca” or sacred pre-Inca site, before heading to the Historic Center. There, you will walk along some of the most historically important streets of the city, leading to the Plaza de Armas, where you will have some time to take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. You will also have the chance to take a peek into an iconic building, that has served Lima’s citizens for centuries and continues to be an important landmark. Then you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, an astonishing building with colonial style. After exploring the Historical Center, you will head towards the Larco Museum, which houses the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private collection. Day 3: Lima – Arequipa

Transfer from your hotel in Lima to the airport to board your flight to the City of Arequipa. Upon arrival in Arequipa, you will be assisted at the Arequipa airport and then transferred to your selected hotel. Arequipa City Tour: Santa Catalina Monastery and Church of the Company of Jesus (Half-day tour) Start the tour at the meeting point, in the cloisters of the Company of Jesus, to begin your walk through the Plaza de Armas, as well as through the most representative streets of the city. On the way, you will see the facades of the San Francisco church and the Third Order, as well as its beautiful square adorned with Jacaranda. Then, you will go to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, founded in 1580, where you can appreciate its cloisters, picturesque streets and squares, which have remained intact over the centuries. In addition, you will learn about the way of life of the select group of nuns who lived there. Afterwards, you will go to the beautiful Barrio del Solar to visit the Church of La Compañía de Jesús, a temple that constitutes the oldest and most important testimony of religious architecture made with ashlar volcanic stone.

Day 4: Arequipa – Colca

Route from Arequipa to Colca You will leave your hotel to begin an unforgettable trip. Travel through the town of Yura, through the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Pampa Cañahuas. Make a stop in Patapampa to cool off, before continuing to the town of Chivay, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the facilities of the hotel or take the optional visit to the thermal waters of the Calera. At night, you can dine at the hotel.

Day 5: Colca – Puno

Visit the Cruz del Condor and route from Colca to Puno You will go to the Cruz del Cóndor, the best location to admire the Colca Canyon and, if the weather permits, you will be able to observe the flight of the majestic condors. Then, you will start the way out of the Colca Valley, visiting the picturesque villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Chivay. Enjoy a lunch along the way, while traveling the route that will take you to Puno.

Day 6: Puno

Visit Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquile Islands In the morning you will travel to Taquile Island, where the community kindly welcomes tourists, keeping alive their traditions, customs and colorful clothing in the old style. The islanders are skilled artisans and capture in each work surprising techniques developed over centuries by their ancestors. Then visit the floating islands of the Uros, also called the Town of the Lake, because these islands are built with layers of totora and serve as homes and trading centers for the natives of the same name who are mobilized in rafts built by hand.

Day 7: Puno – Cusco

Route from Puno to Cusco: Visit La Raya, Racchi and Andahuaylillas You will leave the station to start the trip by bus to Cusco, to enjoy the wonderful landscapes of the Southern Valley of Cusco. You will continue with a visit to La Raya, highest point on the road between Cusco and Puno, from where you will have excellent photographic views Then visit the ruins of Racchi, also known as “The Temple of God Wiracocha.” The last stop will be in Andahuaylillas, a city where there is a beautiful church of the XXVII century has an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. Finally, you will arrive in Cusco.

Day 8: Cusco

Cusco City Tour: San Pedro market, Korikancha Temple, Cathedral, Sacsayhuamán and Kenko You will visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here you will start your tour at the iconic San Pedro market, a local market where you can explore the colors, flavors and traditions of modern Cusco. The visit continues with the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. You will continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will explore Q’enqo archeological site, where important Inca ceremonies took place. Finally, you will arrive to the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city.

Day 9: Cusco – Sacred Valley

Sacred Valley Treasures: Moray, Misminay and Ollantaytambo You will head towards Moray, a fascinating archaeological site in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Its huge concentric terraces were used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. Then, you will visit the Andean Misminay community, where your local hosts will welcome you with music and dancing, invite you to experience a bit of their daily life activities and serve you a delicious meal made with native products. After experiencing living culture in Misminay, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, where you can visit the archaeological complex of the same name, which is a huge agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex in the time of Tahuantinsuyo.

Day 10: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu: Lost City of the Incas (Full-day tour) Board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where you will take a bus to the sacred Machu Picchu citadel. This ancient city, nestled in the mountains, is a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that served as a sanctuary and place of worship for the Inca civilization. You will explore the ruins with a knowledgeable guide, who will provide you with insights into the history and significance of this extraordinary site. After the tour, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and have some free time to explore the town on your own. Later in the afternoon, you will take the train back to Cusco.

Day 11: Cusco – Lima

Transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be assisted at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. Free afternoon to explore Lima at your own pace or take an optional tour.

Day 12: Lima – International Departure
